The Tianhe CBD was included in the first batch of national digital service export bases in 2020, the only one in Guangdong province. It has since formed a modern service industry system that is led by financial services, modern commerce and trade, commercial services, and digital economy.
A number of public service platforms, such as an integrated service information platform for digital service export bases, have been established in the area to offer services in the fields of business registration, policy fulfillment, and corporate financing.
The Greater Bay Area Arbitration Center for International Business and Digital Economy was jointly founded by Tianhe district and the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission. It introduced internet arbitration services that protect and encourage enterprises to go global. Free training courses were jointly provided by the Tianhe CBD and Tec-Do to help enterprises in their efforts to expand into international markets.
Additionally, an alliance was formed by over 20 enterprises to offer full-chain public services and solutions for enterprises involved in trade in services in the Greater Bay Area.
Currently, there are more than 20,000 digital service enterprises in the Tianhe CBD. In 2022, its GDP exceeded 401.5 billion yuan ($55.97 billion), and the export value of its digital services sector surpassed $1.7 billion.
