A reading event, which was jointly hosted by GAC Group and Guangzhou Xinhua Publishing and Distribution Group, took place at the Tianhe branch of the Guangzhou Book Center on Nov 26.

Focusing on Guangzhou's auto industry, the event used storytelling, short videos, rap songs, and discussions to raise awareness about China's car brands and the new changes that technological innovation has brought into people's lives.

Liang Weiqiang, vice president of the GAC R&D Center; and Du Yu, a PhD in technical economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and founding partner of the technology startup accelerator QAQ, hold discussions on the development of artificial intelligence and intelligent connected vehicles at the event. A thematic exhibition showcasing the development of Guangzhou's auto industry from the 1950s to the present was organized on the first-floor hall of the Guangzhou Book Center. Design models of GAC's concept cars were also displayed.

A car boot sale was also staged at the book center's east square, where GAC's latest vehicles and themed books enriched the experience for visitors.
