Intl light festival to kick off in Guangzhou
A 12-minute-long large-scale light show will be staged at Haixinsha Asian Games Park in Guangzhou's Tianhe district at 8 pm on Nov 21, marking the beginning of the 12th Guangzhou International Light Festival.
This year's light festival will run through Nov 30. With the theme "dazzling Greater Bay Area, shining Guangzhou, and intelligent future", the event will have 25 light show groupings that will be displayed across Tianhe's Huacheng Square, Haixinsha Asian Games Park, as well as Haizhu district's Canton Tower.

The light shows will be based on the profound history and legends of the Lingnan area, which refers to southeast China's Guangdong province and the surrounding regions. This also includes red culture and Maritime Silk Road culture.
Advanced technologies like naked-eye 3D, augmented reality, and holographic laser projections will be used to create an immersive lighting experience that integrates creativity, art, technology and culture.
