The financial building, which received an investment of some 3 billion yuan ($411.29 million) from Guangdong Nanyue Bank, was capped at the Guangzhou International Financial City in Tianhe district on Nov 8.

The financial building was among the first group of institutions to be built in the Guangzhou International Financial City and is located adjacent to Huangpu Avenue and Keyun Road, making it easily accessible.

It will be built into a commercial building with a height of 120 meters and a combined floor area of more than 120,000 square meters. After completion, it will become the office space for Guangdong Nanyue Bank's Guangzhou branch and fund operation center, the Guangzhou Science and Technology Development Center, the Guangzhou Risk Management Center and the remote disaster preparedness center.

In 2023, the Guangzhou International Financial City has seen construction begin or finish on 25 first-grade buildings, with a construction area exceeding 2.4 million sq m. Its starting area has introduced 12 financial institutions, including China Guangfa Bank and China Pacific Insurance, while its eastern area has attracted leading enterprises like Macao-based Luso International Banking and Kugou Music.
