2 key projects start construction in Tianhe
Construction recently started on the Guangzhou branch of Macao-based Luso International Banking and the headquarters building of Guangzhou Shiyue Game Technology, two key projects in the Guangzhou International Financial City in Tianhe district.
The bank, which is the first Macao-invested bank to set up operations in the financial city, will cover an area of 10,057 square meters and a combined floor area of nearly 78,000 sq m.
It is scheduled to be put into operation in three years. Upon operation, it is expected to play a positive role in the economic and financial cooperation among cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The headquarters building of Guangzhou Shiyue Game Technology will be located adjacent to the Pearl River to the south and Huangpu Avenue to the north. It will be easily accessible, with the Guangzhou Metro Line 5 nearby.
It will span an area of 8,408 sq m and have 37 floors above ground and four floors underground, with a height of 178 meters. The total investment is estimated to be 1.8 billion yuan ($246.71 million).
Rooftop gardens will be built at different elevations on the headquarters building. The design of patio courtyards and arcade houses, or qilou, in the traditional Lingnan architecture will also be used to introduce natural light and green plants to create a comfortable and pleasant public environment.
