Tianhe player wins championship at Asian Games
The first ever e-sports gold medal at the Asian Games was awarded on Sept 26 after China defeated Malaysia 2-0 in the final of the multiplayer online battle arena or MOBA game Honor of Kings, also known as Arena of Valor.
Jiang Tao, one of the members of the Chinese national team, comes from Guangzhou TTG, an e-sports team belonging to Quwan Network Technology - based in Tianhe district of Guangzhou city, capital of South China's Guangdong province.
"I am feeling excited and happy now," Jiang said. "Standing on the podium at that moment, I felt very proud. I think everyone performed well," he added.
