Tianhe is a top place for entrepreneurs
The Tianhe district of Guangzhou - capital of South China's Guangdong province - was recently recognized for being one of the "cities or districts most satisfying to entrepreneurs in 2023" in the country.
The honor was conferred during the 2023 Entrepreneurs' Happiness Dialogue event that took place on Sept 19 in Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province.

It's said that in Tianhe, different types of enterprises with different stages of development can all find the right development space - and it's also easy to attract top talent and to find partners.
More than 75 percent of Guangzhou's licensed financial institutions - as well as nearly 40 percent of its corporate financial institutions - are estimated to be based in Tianhe. Equally, the added value of Tianhe's financial and software industries now accounts for half of Guangzhou's total.
There are currently 536,000 enterprises in the district, making up for 26.3 percent of those in Guangzhou - with 44 listed enterprises, 165 headquarters enterprises and 266 businesses funded by Fortune Global 500 companies.

Half of the "double first-rate" universities in Guangdong province are located in Tianhe, along with 43 scientific institutions at or above the provincial level, four Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao joint laboratories and over 300,000 tech talent.
The Tianhe central business district, Guangzhou International Financial City, Tianhe Smart City and the Tianhe Intelligence Valley are said to offer excellent development spaces for businesses.
What's more, Tianhe Smart City technology loans are issued as an innovative service for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that lack sufficient collateral or that face difficulties in financing. The seven financial products associated with the loans have allocated combined funding to date of 5.64 billion yuan ($772.52 million).

Meanwhile, Tianhe boasts nine Grade 3A hospitals, the highest of China's three-tier grading system for public hospitals, as well as a number of landmark education programs and facilities - like the Greater Bay Area School of Tsinghua University High School and the Tianhe campus of Guangzhou Zhixin High School.
Overall, greenery currently accounts for about 32 percent of the district's total area, with 92 parks and 149 kilometers of greenways.
