Book festival brings cultural feast to Tianhe
The 2023 South China Book Festival took place from Aug 18 to 22, with an exhibition set at the China Import and Export Fair Complex and over 60 sub-venues across the 11 districts of Guangzhou.
Guangdong Xinhua Distribution Group based in Tianhe district, coupled with several other scientific and cultural enterprises, showcased their products and services at the exhibition's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Education Service Brand Pavilion.

In addition, a discount of 20 percent on all books, with some exceptions on specific books, was offered by all bookstores participating in the festival.
The Tianhe store of the Guangzhou Book Center carried out several activities and book sharing meetings during the festival. Cao Wenxuan, China's first winner of the International Hans Christian Andersen Award and a professor at the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Peking University, shared his ideas with the audience at the bookstore on Aug 20.

Activities such as a book discussions and a book donation event were held at the Guangzhou Library during the festival. Zheng Huanjian delivered a lecture on Chinese history through Tang Dynasty (618-907) poetry at the behest of Tangning Books.
