An investment promotion conference for Guangzhou's Tianhe district took place at the Zhongguancun Software Park in Beijing on July 24, with over 50 enterprises taking part.

The district's GDP has ranked first in Guangzhou for 16 consecutive years, and reached 621.57 billion yuan ($91.57 billion) in 2022, achieving a year-on-year increase of 2.4 percent. It also ranked second among the top 100 Chinese districts in 2022, and topped the nation in investment competitiveness, according to reports from CCID Consulting.

"Tianhe is the most attractive investment hotspot in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," said Rao Jieyi, head of the publicity department of the CPC Tianhe District Committee and director of the administrative committee of the Tianhe Central Business District (CBD), at the conference.

To date, Tianhe has built four key development platforms, namely the Tianhe CBD, Guangzhou International Financial City, Tianhe Smart City, and Tianhe Intelligence Valley.

Additionally, Guangzhou International Financial City boasts a splendid geographic location, sitting at the intersection of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Technological Innovation Corridor, the Pearl River coastal economic belt, and Guangzhou's sci-tech innovation axis.

The 234 incubators and maker spaces in the district also help with attracting and developing entrepreneurs and innovators.
