Tianhe activities boost HK, Macao youth entrepreneurship
The first summer youth entrepreneurship carnival kicked off at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base in Guangzhou's Tianhe district on July 14.
Through the end of August, nearly 30 activities, such as the business incubation projects exhibition, will be held to promote exchanges among the young people of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
"The carnival includes both youth exchanges and entrepreneurship activities. They can comprehensively solve practical problems for Hong Kong and Macao youth in entrepreneurship," said Lin Huibin, director of Tianhe's Hong Kong and Macao Youth Home.

The Hong Kong and Macao Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Service Station and the Hong Kong and Macao University Student Employment and Internship Base were established on the same day.
Ye Wenyue, director of the Greater Bay Area community project of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, said that more Hong Kong people are starting businesses, studying and living out their life in retirement on the Chinese mainland.
"We look forward to the Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Service Station becoming a new starting point for cooperation to help Hong Kong youth develop in the Greater Bay Area," Ye added.
"As a Macao youth, I feel the strong vitality of the '1+12+N' innovation and entrepreneurship incubation platforms in Guangdong," said Huang Jingxi, vice chairman of the Macao Youth Federation.
The federation will continue to encourage more Macao youth to work together with young people in Guangdong and Hong Kong to build a stronger country, Huang added.
Tianhe has been engaged in the construction of the Greater Bay Area, said Deng Ping, the district's deputy head. It has attracted over 4,000 Hong Kong and Macao enterprises to invest in the district.
The district established the province's first youth home and support center for Hong Kong and Macao youth. So far, the 13 Hong Kong and Macao youth innovation and entrepreneurship bases in the district have incubated 917 projects from the two places.
Deng added that a series of special policies and measures have been launched to create a better business environment for Hong Kong and Macao youth who choose to develop their careers in the district.
