Ferries between provinces of Guangdong and Hainan are expected to resume their services on Tuesday night, after Typhoon Talim made landfall in the coastal area of Guangdong on Monday night, according to the China Railway Guangzhou Group.

Also, 58 trains along a railway line between Jiangmen and Zhanjiang, Guangdong, and 74 high-speed trains in Hainan were scheduled to resume operation, starting at noon Tuesday, the railway operator said.

Local railway authorities organized hundreds of workers to conduct checks on facilities along the railways, aiming to ensure safety before resuming train service.

Typhoon Talim, the fourth typhoon this year, made a second landfall in the coastal area of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region early Tuesday, after it first landed in Guangdong on Monday night.
