Construction on Guangzhou metro lines progresses smoothly
Construction on several Guangzhou's metro lines that will run through Tianhe district is progressing smoothly.

About 90 percent of the civil construction work on Metro Line 11, the first loop line in Guangzhou, has been finished. Of the 32 stations on the line, two have been opened, 23 have been capped, six are still undergoing civil works, and one is doing early-stage preparatory work. Electromechanical construction has also begun at 15 stations, of which 29 percent has been completed.
74 percent of Metro Line 10’s civil construction has been completed. Eight stations on this line have been capped, five are undergoing civil work, and one is doing early-stage preparatory work. Additionally, four stations are conducting electromechanical construction.
Of all the 23 stations involved in the second-phase of Metro Line 13, nine have been capped. Another 14 stations on this line have completed about 68 percent of their civil construction work.
Of note, the Xiancun village-Guangzhou East Railway Station section of Metro Line 18 recently completed digging work on its right-line shield tunnel.
