A thrilling debut Tianhe District Dragon Boat Race took place on June 23 in the district of Guangzhou city - with 16 dragon boat teams each digging deep for a shot at the title.

The Chebei Dragon Boat Culture Promotion Association took the crown after fierce competition, while the Huangpu District Dragon Boat Culture Inheritance Association finished second.
