As the Dragon Boast Festival approaches, falling on June 22 this year, a number of dragon boat races are scheduled to be carried out in Guangzhou's Tianhe district.

The Chebei Dragon Boat Race will resume this year on June 15, after three years of suspension. Twelve dragon boats will compete in the race for the championship title.

Another race, the Tianhe District Standard Dragon Boat Invitational Competition, will be held in Chebei on June 23, allowing citizens to feel the unique charm of this traditional celebration.

The Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament, which was initiated in 1985, is set to kick off on June 17, with several competitive events. They include the traditional dragon boat 600-meter straights race, the men's 22-person dragon boat 600-meter straights race, and the women's 22-person dragon boat 600-meter straights race.

The Chebei dragon boat team will compete in all five events.
