Bidding recently started for the survey and design of the road renovation project in Guangzhou's Tianhe district.

Four roads in the district, namely Guangshan, Tianyuan, Yanling, and Yudong West roads, are involved in the project. The renovation project will have a total length of about 13.9 kilometers and cover nearly 246,183 square meters.

Construction is scheduled to start in December this year, and be finished in December 2024. The renovations will include several upgrades, such as pedestrian walkways, the pedestrian overpass at the north gate of the South China National Botanical Garden, and the exits and entrances of subway stations along the road. The project also plans to build several pocket parks under bridges.
