Tianhe Children's Palace begins construction of new campus
Construction started on the new campus for Tianhe Children's Palace on May 10. It is scheduled to be put into use in 2025 with an annual student capacity of over 15,000.

The new campus will be located in Guangzhou International Financial City in Tianhe, north of Linjiang Avenue and west of Yuancun Siheng Road. It will be about 700 meters away from Metro Line 5.
The project will build a cultural complex with 10 floors aboveground and two belowground. It will cover an area of 8,774 square meters and have a combined floor area of 38,600 sq m. Construction will include areas for literary, artistic, sci-tech and cultural activities, as well as sports. The new campus will also include a public welfare center, a practice and exhibition center, an underground parking lot, as well as outdoor venues.
A psychological counseling and assistance center will also be built in the new campus, according to Li Yuanye, the director of Tianhe Children's Palace. It will be of great importance to children's wellbeing and growth.

He Lulu, secretary of the Guangzhou Communist Youth League Committee, said that the new campus will further meet the demand for high-quality education resources for teenagers in Tianhe. It will better guide and serve the growth and development of these teenagers, while also helping Guangzhou accelerate the construction of its high-quality education system.
Tianhe Children's Palace was built in 1988, and moved to its current site on Longkou West Road in 1998, covering an area of 1,000 sq m. So far, nearly 120,000 students have studied here.
