Tianhe to add youth halls for local students

By 2025, Guangzhou plans to add nine youth halls, which will be used for recreational and educational purposes. Among these planned youth halls, Tianhe will add new halls in both Yuan village and Longdong village.

By 2025, Guangzhou will build nine new youth halls with a total area of 140,400 square meters, and by 2035, there will be 18 new youth halls measuring 173,000 sq m. By 2035, the total number of youth halls at city and district levels in Guangzhou is expected to reach 43.

As of the end of 2020, Guangzhou built four city-level youth halls, including Guangzhou First Youth Hall, Guangzhou Second Youth Hall, Guangzhou Third Youth Hall, and Guangzhou Youth Culture Hall.

The city's 13 district-level youth halls are located across Yuexiu, Liwan, Tianhe, Haizhu, Huangpu and Baiyun districts. They have a total construction area of 376,100 sq m, and provide 287,700 study opportunities annually.

At present, the youth halls in Guangzhou are mainly concentrated in central urban areas, with only four currently located outside of the six specified districts.
