Activities held to welcome World Reading Day
Bookstores in Guangzhou's Tianhe district have launched a variety of activities to welcome World Reading Day, which falls on April 23.
An exhibition themed on The Little Prince is running at the Fangsuo Commune bookstore in Tianhe and will last until April 26, while a World Reading Day-centered exhibition will open here on April 21 through May 31.

From 8 pm to 9:30 pm on April 28, Ni Wenjian, an associate professor at East China Normal University, will take visitors through some classic literature and guide people in reading Chinese texts at the Tiyu East Road branch of 1200bookshop.
Tangning Books will offer a book exhibition based on the theme of "The sea of reading connects the future world" from April 21 to May 12. There will also be some special offers, including 4.23 yuan ($0.61) off all book purchases except magazines and periodicals from April 21 to 23.
