Guangzhou's Tianhe district has been taking measures like holding job fairs, carrying out training, and supporting entrepreneurship to help citizens find employment.

Since last year, Tianhe has held 146 job fairs for key groups, offering 49,447 posts, providing job recommendation services for over 19,000 unemployed people, and developing 70 public welfare posts. It helped 8,014 registered unemployed people get re-employed and 3,775 people with employment difficulties find jobs. The employment rate of unemployed college graduates was 91.55 percent, and that of unemployed people in extreme poverty remained 100 percent.

"We have found that the number of people picking up odd jobs is increasing year by year, so we have set up special areas for these people at all our job fairs, bringing convenience for them," said a service specialist at the district's bureau of human resources and social security.

As some people with employment difficulties are not used to obtaining employment information through the internet, the district guided its 21 sub-districts to improve online and offline recruitment platforms, meeting different needs.

In addition, the district has been bringing entrepreneurial guidance to college students, guiding them on relevant preferential policies.
