All the 12 national high-tech business incubators from Guangzhou's Tianhe district were rated as good (level B) or above in the recently released 2021 evaluation results by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Sciences and Technology.

A total of 18 incubators from Guangzhou were rated as excellent (level A), among which five were from Tianhe, accounting for nearly 30 percent of the city's total. The Tianhe incubators that participated in the rating got an excellent rate of 42 percent.

In recent years, Tianhe has been guiding its incubators to improve their quality and efficiency. It added four new national-level incubators and three maker spaces in 2022. The number of new incubators ranked first in Guangzhou for three consecutive years.

By December 2022, there were a total of 236 incubators and maker spaces in the district, of which 39 are at the national level and 27 at provincial level, both topping the city.
