Tianhe site recognized as city industrial heritage
The former Guangzhou second cotton mill in Guangzhou's Tianhe district was recently listed as one of 16 industrial heritage sites in Guangzhou named by the municipal bureau of industry and information technology.

Built in 1958, the Guangzhou second cotton mill was a State-owned cotton-spinning enterprise which mainly produced slap-up knitting yarn and special yarn. It was the first in Guangzhou to use computers for preferential cotton distribution and product quality detection and control. It had 15 products win honorary titles at the ministerial, provincial and municipal levels.

On the basis of maintaining the original buildings, the cotton mill was transformed into the T.I.T Wisdom Park, which opened on June 24. It is an integrated innovation and entrepreneurship park for youth in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will focus on artificial intelligence, digital economy, and the incubation of technological innovation.
