Forty Tianhe-based enterprises were included in the second batch of the Guangzhou Specialized, Elaborative, Characteristic, and Emerging Private Enterprise Cultivation List, which was released on Nov 1.

A total of 300 Guangzhou enterprises made the list, of which 95 percent were engaged in the intelligent manufacturing, next-generation information technology, biomedicine, as well as new energy and new materials industries.

In recent years, Tianhe has been giving full play to Tianhe Smart City's advantages in developing the new-generation information technology industry, focusing on the aspects of smart cities, industrial internet, digital culture and innovation, digital agriculture, as well as intelligent connected vehicles. 

As a node of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Technological Innovation Corridor and a provincial high-tech industrial development zone, Tianhe Smart City achieved a total operation revenue of 86.27 billion yuan ($11.89 billion) in the first nine months of 2022, increasing by 15.9 percent year-on-year. 

It has been making continuous efforts in building five major industrial clusters featuring intelligent connected automobiles, smart cities, and digital agriculture. It also encourages local industrial leading enterprises to set up industrial associations to boost aggregated development.
