IP operation center opens in Tianhe hi-tech zone
The intellectual property (IP) collaborative operation center opened in the Guangzhou Tianhe High-tech Industrial Development Zone on Oct 26, aiming to support the high-quality development of industries in the zone, as well as build a regional ecosystem covering IP creation, protection, and application.
"China's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) and the outline of the 2035 Vision plan call for better protection of and incentives for high-value patents," said Ke Jiebing, a senior director at the Tianhe district for market regulation.
"Building the IP collaborative operation center can promote the whole chain of IP creation, application, protection, management and services, and help construct the Tianhe High-tech Industrial Development Zone into a national IP demonstration park."
Lin Weibin, head of the Industrial Development Department of the Tianhe Science Park Management Committee, noted that the establishment of the IP operation center will offer accurate and convenient services to enterprises in the zone regarding high-value patent cultivation, IPR protection assistance, talent training, as well as publicity.
