Metaverse digital arts design competition launched in Tianhe
The Greater Bay Area metaverse digital arts design competition was launched in Guangzhou's Tianhe district on Sept 15. It is one of the most important parts of the first Greater Bay Area Metaverse Digital Art Festival, which kicked off on July 27.

The competition includes the three major tracks of metaverse music, metaverse design, and metaverse digital arts. It is divided into the four stages of registration, preliminary contest, final, as well as prize-giving and exhibition. Registration is open from September to November.
The winning works of this competition will be exhibited both online and offline in the Greater Bay Area Metaverse Digital Art Festival. They will also receive support spanning promotion, domestic and foreign exhibition tours, project incubation, resource matching, as well as investment.
The Tianhe metaverse space concept design exhibition opened the same day, and will last until Sept 25. It is also an important part of the first Greater Bay Area Metaverse Digital Art Festival, and attracted works by over 80 teachers and students from 32 domestic universities and colleges.

The works, which are centered on Tianhe's metaverse and urban renewal, as well as revitalization of historic streets and industrial heritages, were created by digital design software and built virtual metaverse "new worlds" that mirror the real world.
In addition, the world's first city-level metaverse system, Tianhe Metaverse, was unveiled on the same day. Its basic concept is everyone's metaverse, which supports the construction of the metaverse ecosystem through mini-programs, public WeChat accounts, apps, official websites, and VR devices. The metaverse ecosystem can also be established and connected to the Tianhe Metaverse by means of independent development, self-construction or leasing of the metaverse space.
Comprehensive support like exhibitions, watching movies, shopping, creation, communication, live broadcasting, and entertainment can be provided by the metaverse system.
