Guangzhou COVID-19 Update for Sept 5
On September 5, 2022, Guangzhou reported 5 local confirmed cases and 3 local asymptomatic cases, 3 imported confirmed cases and 5 imported asymptomatic cases.
As of 24:00 September 5, 2022, a total of 6,859 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 33,88 confirmed cases (2,353 imported cases and 1035 local cases), among which, 101 cases are still being treated in hospital; and 3,471 asymptomatic cases (3,202 imported cases and 269 local cases), among which, 38 cases are still under medical observation.
5 Local Cases and 3 Local Asymptomatic Cases Details
The 1st patient is a 23-year-old man living in Dashi Subdistrict, Panyu District
The 2nd patient is a 29-year-old woman living in Dashi Subdistrict, Panyu District.
The 3rd patient is a 70-year-old man living in Xingang Subdistrict, Haizhu District.
The 4th patient is a 58-year-old man living in Jiangnanzhong Subdistrict, Haizhu District.
The 5th patient is a 34-year-old woman living in Zhuji Subdistrict, Tianhe District.
The 1st asymptomatic patient is a 2-year-old boy living in Dashi Subdistrict, Panyu District.
The 2nd asymptomatic patient is a 70-year-old man living in Shayuan Subdistrict, Haizhu District
The 1st to 5th patients are close contacts of the reported confirmed cases and were identified in centralized quarantine facilities.
The 3rd asymptomatic patient is a 40-year-old woman living in Zhuji Subdistrict, Tianhe District, and was detected among yellow health code holders in the controlled area.
All these patients have been transferred to Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment. Their conditions are stable.
3 Imported Confirmed Cases and 5 Imported Asymptomatic Cases Details
3 imported confirmed cases were imported from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Myanmar respectively. 5 imported asymptomatic cases were imported from the United States, Vietnam, Chile, Myanmar, and South Korea respectively.
Upon their arrival in Guangzhou, all the imported confirmed and asymptomatic cases were transferred to hotels for centralized quarantine. They tested positive for COVID-19 during quarantine and were transferred to Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment.
