Tianhe issues talent apartment management measures
To further optimize its environment to attract talents and to give full play to the role of talent apartment in serving talents, Guangzhou's Tianhe district recently issued the Administrative Measures for Talent Apartment Construction and Use, which will be valid until Dec 31, 2024.

It stipulates that for general commercial residential land and urban renewal projects, the construction area allocated for talent apartments shall be no less than 10 percent of the total construction area. It also encourages enterprises to use self-supporting rental housing obtained through bidding, auction, or listing as talent apartments, with the district providing appropriate subsidies in combination with the market rent level.
The measures also specify that talent apartments are housing for qualified high-level talents, key enterprise talents, innovative enterprise talents, young talents from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as urgently needed talents in Tianhe district. For newly built talent apartments for middle- and high-level talents, the building area of a single apartment is mainly 90 square meters and should not exceed 120 sq m.
The location of talent apartments should be convenient for living and traveling, while appropriate areas around railway stations or public transportation stations should be selected.
