The Kezhu-Kelin Road Tunnel recently opened to traffic, becoming a new channel linking Guangzhou's Tianhe and Huangpu districts. It is also of great importance to promoting economic and social development in the eastern part of Guangzhou.

The tunnel starts from Huangpu's Kuzhu Road in the north, passes the Kelin Road intersection, and ends in Tianhe's Zhuji Road. It is about 853 meters long, and has a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour.

Construction on the tunnel's auxiliary lanes and sidewalks, as well as afforestation work will soon be advanced. It is expected to be fully completed by the end of this year.
