The concept of "building together" has been implemented in the renovation of old residential areas in Guangzhou, with the renovating plan fully reflecting the opinions of residents.

The Tianhe East Community in Tianhe district was built in the 1990s, and covers a combined floor area of nearly 42,200 square meters with 10 buildings. The aging facilities have caused many troubles for residents, including insufficient water pressure and rough roads full of holes.

Before renovation, a discussion platform was built by the sub-district where the community is located, in which the community residents committee used to allow residents to voice their opinions. More than 330 opinions were gathered for the community's renovation, and the renovation plan was continuously optimized in accordance with them.

Tianhe district has been renovating its old residential areas in recent years. By the end of 2021, it has advanced the renovation of 88 old communities, bringing more happiness to people's lives.
