Tianhe launches development plan for high-end services

Guangzhou's Tianhe district is seeking public opinions on the first draft of its development plan for high-end professional services during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25).

According to the plan, the district will be built into an important hub for high-end professional services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will also polish the "Guangzhou Services" brand.

By 2025, the factor support system for the high-quality development of the high-end professional services industry in Tianhe will be more complete, while the industry will be more standardized, professional, scaled, digitalized, and international. Added value high-end professional services will account for 10 percent of the regional GDP, while a batch of buildings with tax revenue of over 1 billion yuan ($148.09 million) and industrial parks will be built.

A total of 38.05 billion yuan will be invested by the district during the period in 21 major projects in the high-end professional services industry. The Guangzhou (Tianhe) New Skills College will also be set up to cultivate more talents and explore the new model of technical education.

Tianhe will also deepen cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao, with plans to establish the Greater Bay Area cross-border technology mergers and acquisitions center, as well as a comprehensive service platform.
