The Tianhe bureau of justice was recently awarded the title of "Advanced Collective of National Judicial Administration System" by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Justice, becoming the only one of its kind in Guangzhou.

The bureau has been taking measures in the past five years to comprehensively promote the law-based governance of the district and making innovations in judicial administration works.

The innovative "3+X" mediation method was fostered by the Tianhe South Justice Office under the Tianhe bureau of justice, in which the "3" refers to the justice office, police stations, and law offices, while the "X" means Party representatives, NPC deputies, CPPCC members, functional government departments, professional mediation organizations, college volunteer teams, and judge assistants. Since its implementation, it has helped the district increase the success rate of conflict mediation.

In the past five years, there were a total of 26,207 mediation cases in the district, of which 25,910 were successfully mediated, with a success mediation rate of 98.87 percent.

The bureau took the lead in the city in building a district-level community correction committee, and has been leading Guangdong province in the information construction of community correction. Its intelligent supervision platform for community correction was named one of the "top 10 innovative products of intelligent justice."

It also set up the city's first community foreign affairs-related public legal service room, as well as the province's first support center for Hong Kong and Macao youth.
