Guangdong Digital Finance Innovation Industrial Park, the first of its kind in China, was established at the recently held China (Guangzhou) International Finance Expo.

As an important part of Guangdong's overall construction layout for digital finance, the industrial park is expected to be the digital finance industrial cluster base in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, helping accelerate the construction of the digital finance innovation demonstration system and infrastructure in Guangdong, as well as helping build the Greater Bay Area international financial hub.

The industrial park will settle in Guangzhou International Financial City in Tianhe district, and will be composed of a starting area and a formal park. The starting area will start operation by mature properties within this year, while construction of the formal park, which will cover nearly 100,000 square meters, is expected to be completed by 2025.

It will center on digital finance, as well as boost industrial agglomeration around digital finance enterprises, industrial finance institutions, and futures and risk management agencies.
