As the Dragon Boat Festival holiday came to an end, a number of residents have come back to Guangzhou from outside the city. Are they required to take COVID-19 tests after arrival? Let's check out the latest policies of Guangzhou concerning people coming or returing to the city from outside Guangdong province.

Guangzhou CDC issued a reminder that arrivals to Guangzhou from another provincial-level region should report in advance through the "Suikang" WeChat mini-program, and take two nucleic acid tests within three days (with at least a 24-hour interval) and conduct self-health monitoring for 11 days.

During the first 3 days, they are required to travel only between work place and home. They shall refrain from taking public transport, such as buses and metros, and avoid social gatherings.

Arrivals with a travel history to cities that have recently reported COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days should conduct health monitoring at home for the first 3 days, and self-health monitoring for the next 11 days. They shall refrain from going out, resuming work, or returning to school in the first 3 days. And they are required to take nucleic acid tests on the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 10th, and 14th days.

Guangzhou CDC also notes that government departments, enterprises, and individual businesses should carry out health monitoring for employees who return to Guangzhou.
