By the end of 2021, the number of patents granted in Tianhe totaled 31,894, up 19.4 percent year-on-year, said the director of the district's administration for market regulation at the IPR protection week launch ceremony.
The district won a total of 15 awards at the 22nd China Patent Awards in 2021, including one China Patent Golden Award and one Appearance Design Golden Award, becoming the only district in Guangzhou that won Golden awards at this edition of the China Patent Awards.
Tianhe has been applying to become an IPR construction pilot area, said the director. It will focus on the comprehensive application of patents, high-return IPR transfer and transformation, as well as the cultivation of high-value patents.
