At the 27th World Reading Day, which fell on April 23, the first sanitation worker reading activity took place at the Tianhe District Urban Management Third Cleaning Station.

"I always believe that good spirits come from reading and learning, as well as strength, courage, progress, and success," said Wang Fengli, head of the Third Cleaning Station.

Liang Guangning, a worker at the cleaning station, said that he liked the book Details Determine Success or Failure. He added that he used to be a soldier where he learnt the importance of paying attention to details. After joining the cleaning station, he said that he utilizes this quality to make the environment in Tianhe more beautiful and cleaner.

Mi Yunfeng, a quality inspector at the cleaning station, said that he only has time to read with his children after coming back home from work in the evening. He finished reading How the Steel Was Tempered while reading with his children, which inspired him to keep persevering while encountering difficulties during work. "Reading has really influenced me a lot," he said.
