Tianhe residents with yellow code all confirmed negative
A total of 22,939 out of the 38,837 people in Tianhe with a yellow health code have taken nucleic acid tests, with all the testing results being negative, according to Huang Kaixuan, executive deputy head of the district, at a press conference on Feb 16.
Tianhe has traced 441 close contacts and 96 sub-contacts of people that had tested positive for COVID-19, of which 239 people were put under centralized quarantine and 66 under home quarantine. Those who are from outside of Tianhe were sent notice.
Huang also said that three places in Tianhe, Mulian Hotel Guangzhou, the Dior Taikoo Hui store, and the Louis Vuitton Taikoo Hui store, are closed for seven days to maintain COVID-19 epidemic containment, while Lanshan Restaurant, the Tianhe Telecom Building, as well as Civet Coffee Shop are closed for 14 days.
A total of 35 environmental samples were collected from seven key sites in Tianhe, all of which were negative, Huang added.
In addition, the district expended its screening centered on the seven key sites, sampling 3,778 people. All of the results were negative.
