The second session of the 9th Tianhe District Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) kicked off on Jan 20. Shao Guoming, chairman of the CPPCC Tianhe District Committee, gave a work report.

In 2021, the Standing Committee of the 9th CPPCC Tianhe District Committee carried out more than 80 inspections and investigations, put forward over 160 suggestions to various functional departments, created research reports to make over 60 opinions and suggestions, as well as set up 10 new work rooms.

The 107 proposals to the Standing Committee of the 9th CPPCC Tianhe District Committee were all answered and handled.

Sixty-four of the 91 public opinions collected by the Standing Committee were transferred to the CPPCC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, the CPC district committee, and the Tianhe district government. Three public opinions were rated as excellent by the CPPCC Guangzhou Municipal Committee.

In 2021, the participating units and members of the CPPCC Tianhe District Committee made donations of more than 23.6 million yuan ($3.72 million) to support COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control efforts.
