Tianhe becomes gathering ground for Hong Kong, Macao talent

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator Base, which has set up operations in Tianhe district, has attracted 124 projects since its founding on March 29, 103 of which are from Hong Kong or Macao.

In addition, a total of 168 young people from Hong Kong and Macao have been employed at the base, as well as 105 doctoral degree holders and 175 master's degree holders.

The incubator base has become a center of development for talent from the Greater Bay Area.

The incubator base was jointly set up by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the Tianhe district government, covers a combined floor area of 66,500 square meters and has received a total investment of over 700 million yuan ($108.54 million).

Full chain services related to innovation and entrepreneurship are provided by the base to young people from the Greater Bay Area.

A total of 144 entrepreneurship mentors, 51 investment and financing institutions and 91 evaluation experts were introduced to provide professional services for incubated projects at the base.

In addition, a special production and testing area was established at the base offering free product and production testing services to help reduce costs for enterprises operating in the base.
