Tianhe tackles 169 tasks to improve business environment

Since this year, Tianhe district in Guangzhou launched a task list to create a market-based, modern and international business environment. Of the 169 tasks, 75 percent have been finished so far.

Matters related to starting an enterprise in Tianhe can all be handled online and be completed in half a workday. The district has also reached cooperation on offering government affairs services with more than 60 areas in and out of Guangdong province.

Power, water and gas supply personnel have been stationed in the district's government affairs service centers and real estate registration centers to make it more convenient for people.

Financial institutions are also encouraged to register for financing platforms so that enterprises can receive financial support more quickly. So far, more than 57,000 small and micro enterprises and individual businesses have benefitted from this feature.

Tianhe is also promoting the Tianhe Road Business Circle to become one of the first batch of departure tax refund demonstration blocks in Guangzhou.

The district's construction of a national intellectual property county project pilot area is also advancing smoothly. Its number of inventions, patent authorizations and effective trademark registrations all ranked first in Guangzhou.

One-on-one services are provided for key high-tech enterprises, and a total of 3,378 national small and medium-sized technology-based enterprises have been identified in the district.

An information platform for IP protection assistance has been established in Tianhe along with the establishment of workstations for IPR assistance and protection in key industries.

Tianhe has been promoting the settlement of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area international business and digital economy arbitration center in the district to improve the mechanism for the rapid settlement of disputes among commercial entities and create a fair and just legal environment.

Since the beginning of this year, Tianhe had 124,000 new enterprises, accounting for 35.8 percent of the total in Guangzhou. It currently has 456,000 registered enterprises, making up 26.2 percent of the city's total.
