Tianhe Road Business Circle fosters new driving force
The conference on building Guangzhou into an international consumption central city was recently held in the city. It mentioned that the integrated development of business, tourism and culture has stimulated the consumption vitality in the Tianhe Road Business Circle.
Xie Meng, chairman of the Tianhe Road Chamber of Commerce and chief executive officer of Zhengjia Enterprise Group, said at the conference that "the integrated development of business, tourism and culture must be a new driving force for the economy."
Xie added that the integration will play an important role in building Guangzhou into an international consumption central city, and promote the city's upgrading and transformation and socio-economic development.

According to Xie, the deep integration among tourism, leisure, food, and scenic spots in the Tianhe Road Business Circle is accelerating. By the end of 2020, retail businesses accounted for 57 percent of the business circle's business forms, and catering accounted for 24 percent, business facilities 9 percent, leisure tourism 8 percent, and cultural arts 2 percent.
There are currently 24 commercial complexes in the Tianhe Road Business Circle including six IT electronics complexes and two cultural and sports activity carriers. They have gathered more than 10,000 shops and brands to foster a suitable shopping and tourism environment and stimulating consumption vitality.
In addition, the Tianhe Road Business Circle has signed 16 cooperation agreements with countries and regions such as the United States, New Zealand, Canada, and Germany. It has also organized the Guangzhou International Shopping Festival and the urban trade and retail development forum for 10 consecutive years.
