Important Notice from Guangdong CDC

The Guangdong Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued an important notice to people who have visited Putian city, Fujian province since Aug 27.

1. Report your personal information and cooperate with the epidemic control measures.

Report to your local community (village), employer, and/or hotel, and cooperate with the local epidemic control measures. Read as follows:

Inbound passengers from high-risk areas in Putian, Fujian shall go through a 14-day centralized quarantine (starting from the day of departure);

Those returning from medium-risk areas in Putian, Fujian shall go through a 14-day home quarantine (starting from the day of departure);

Those from other areas in Putian, Fujian shall undergo a 14-day home health monitoring, and take two PCR tests within the first three days upon arrival in Guangdong.

If you have been to Fujian within the past 14 days, you are advised to take a PCR test to protect you and your family from COVID-19.

2. Key groups shall take PCR tests as soon as possible.

If your health code has turned yellow, please strengthen personal protection and take a PCR test in a nearby hospital as soon as possible. Currently, all comprehensive hospitals at level-2 or above have set up rapid testing areas for yellow code holders. The detailed hospital list is available on the "COVID-19 Testing Service" section of the official WeChat account of the Guangdong Health Commission.

If your code appears to be red, please contact your local community clinic as soon as possible and cooperate with information verification and health management.

Guangdong CDC also urges all residents to take the following precautions:

① Avoid visiting any medium- and high-risk areas or where there is any reported COVID-19 cases. Wash your hands often, wear a mask, keep your room well-ventilated, and maintain 1-meter of social distancing.

② Monitor your health every day. If you experience a fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, a reduced sense of smell or taste, diarrhea, etc., please wear a mask and go to a fever clinic for treatment immediately. You should truthfully tell the medical staff your epidemiological history. In this case, avoid taking public transport. 

③ Eligible residents with no contraindications should get COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible.
