A tree was planted in Guangzhou's Yuntai Garden on April 9 to commemorate the friendship between China and Ukraine and strengthen the exchanges between Guangzhou and Kiev.

Deng Changxiong, deputy director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government, and Dmytro Kamkov, acting consul general of Ukraine in Guangzhou, both spoke at the event.
