Enlightening: Tianhe's hidden music landmark
Tucked away on the sixth floor of the Guangzhou Book Center in Tianhe, Enlightening has grown into one of South China's top-tier music venues. More than a live house or music restaurant, it brings together professional performances, art, dining, and social space under one roof.

Its indoor stage, "Wen" live studio, is equipped with a world-class Funktion One sound system, the same brand used by Glastonbury and Berlin's Berghain, along with six-figure amplifiers and premium cables, delivering a recording-studio-level experience. Artists such as Nathan East, Antonio Sanchez, and Sinne Eeg have all performed here.

Outside, the "P.L.U.R." rooftop restaurant offers sweeping 270-degree views of Guangzhou's CBD. Its name stands for Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. By day, guests enjoy coffee and city views; by night, electronic, folk, and reggae music set a relaxed vibe. A five-star hotel chef also oversees the venue's Western menu.

With its stage, rooftop, and ever-changing lineup, Enlightening has turned a quiet corner of the Guangzhou Book Center into one of Tianhe's most distinctive nights out.
