Tianhe is set to captivate both residents and tourists with a diverse array of cultural and tourism activities during the National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7.

These events encompass music performances, art exhibitions, themed markets and more, offering a chance to experience the district's modern urban landscape and rich Lingnan heritage.

Highlights include music performances and classical concerts across the district. Classical concerts featuring works by Joe Hisaishi, a Japanese composer, conductor, and pianist, as well as a solo performance by Swedish guitar maestro Goran Sollscher, will grace the stages of Grandview Theater and Guangzhou Opera House.

Modern plays like Inter Alia at Guangzhou Opera House address contemporary themes. The classic Cantonese Opera Perish in Name of Love, at the Guangdong Performing Arts Center Theater, showcases a fusion of modern stagecraft and traditional opera.

Themed markets across major shopping centers offer diverse culinary experiences, including Michelin and Black Pearl gourmet delights. The Guangdong Museum presents exhibitions such as Impression Van Gogh: Immersive Digital Art Exhibition, while Guangzhou Library's traditional Chinese culture digital art exhibition revives the life of the celebrated poet Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) through technology.
