Tianhe district is at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into the gaming industry, transforming it from an optional enhancement to a vital component across development, operations, and global expansion.

In Tianhe, Gaming enterprises harness the AI technologies to enhance their businesses. NetEase has developed its own game engine, 37 Interactive Entertainment has created the game industry large model Xiaoqi, and Tanwan.com has launched AI-driven smart marketing.

In the first half of 2026, Tianhe's GDP reached 373.6 billion yuan ($55.5 billion), up 6.3 percent year-on-year, with AI industry contributing significantly. Notably, 98 AI companies achieved a combined revenue of 38.16 billion yuan, growing by 22 percent, while the gaming sector saw a 19.3 percent increase.

This progress is propelled by strategic policy support, emphasizing a comprehensive service ecosystem rather than mere financial subsidies.

With a 30-year legacy, Tianhe's game industry continues to thrive, highlighted by the permanent settlement of the China Digital Entertainment Conference in 2025. New policies encourage original game development and advanced technology research, offering substantial financial incentives.

In December 2025, the Guangzhou Game Industry Service Center was established in Tianhe and upgraded to 2.0 version in May this year. The center's innovative "government+industrial park+association" model enhances services, supports global expansion, and strengthens the industrial ecosystem.
